Two people, eight products, one workshop
We started by buying the gear we needed, wearing it out in a season, and getting annoyed. Then we made our own, and it turned into a shop.
It started with a board that split in half
A foam longboard, bought new, delaminated after fourteen months of ordinary use. The shop offered 20% off the next one. We went to a shaper in Hossegor instead, asked what a board that lasts ten years costs to build, and got a number that was lower than we expected. Mascaret is that conversation, repeated for a wetsuit, a towel, a bar of wax, and four other things.
Three rules we do not bend
The country of origin is on the product page
Every item lists where it is made, including the flask, which is made in China and finished in Spain. Hiding an origin is what you do when the price does not match the story.
We repair before we resell
Wetsuits and boards come back to the workshop for as long as we can source the parts. A repair is worse business than a new sale and better business than a customer who leaves.
No product exists to fill a gap
There is no cap, no keychain, no branded water bottle for the sake of a fourth shelf. Eight products means eight we would buy ourselves.
Where we are
8 products in the catalogue, 2 people, and one shared workshop, 96% of orders shipped within 48 hours.
That is the whole shop
Eight products, and someone at the other end of the email address if one of them disappoints you.
